'ONE SHOULD EITHER BE A WORK OF ART, OR WEAR A WORK OF ART'

Friday 14 November 2014

I love vintage fashion and I love looking for the best places to buy the best pieces.
After reading, 'Paris Street Style' I was completely inspired to go and sift through all the best
charity shops I knew and it got me thinking about this post... Where to
find the best vintage clothes in Plymouth and Falmouth!

Mama's Wardrobe:

Dad's Wardrobe:

Google: Vintage Fairs:

Falmouth: There's little shop at the top of High Street
that I can't find anywhere on Google or remember the name of. It's like
Wild Pony but also sells suits:

Plymouth: My fur is from a shop that was in Parade Antiques
on the Barbican but has gone now but in the same building is Luna Chic
which is very good.

Plymouth: Shabby Chic, The Barbican
Shabby Chic is owned by St. Lukes Hospice and it's
very close to my heart. They sell furniture and books too.

Plymouth: YMCA Cornwall Street
Another charity shop. At the front is a normal charity shop
selling old New Look, but at the back! At the back is
everything Retro and Vintage, all ordered by colour and size.

I think there's an element of skill and patience to be able to thrift shop
and I personally don't have either. It has to be laid out on a plate
for me. But when I'm in the mind set for it, I can find some real gems.
I love shoulder pads, they're my weakness.

A couple of other I didn't mention properly are Wild Pony, Falmouth and Parisian Sweet, Plymouth.
Parisian Sweet is brand new and sells Designer Vintage, way out of my price range but it's amazing to look at.
