I remember walking through London for the second time and seeing streets like Regent and Oxford and being so amazed that I was actually there. I was so happy that I took photos of the street signs.

I was 15 or 16 and I was with my best friend on the protest again the increase in university fees and scrapping of EMA; both of which have affected me. The route of the protest went passed The Ritz right when anarchists smashed the windows, that scared me and I held onto my mum. Maybe I was the wrong person to be at that protest because while people smashed the windows of what I consider to be one of the most desirable places to stay, I imagined being inside, imagined all the people who were staying there, the people who had stayed there and the people who would. Don't get me wrong, I understand the message the anarchists were sending and I appreciate it and in many ways agree with it but, it was the first time I had ever seen a Ritz and I thought that was a big deal and I wanted to admire it. To this day, the only Ritz I know, is the cracker.

My second experience like this happened in a shopping complex in Holland. I made my mum go into Gucci and Prada with me just to be able to say to myself that I had. I was so close to buying a keyring, just to own something from either shops. That was before I developed my personal style and before I felt like I could comment on the clothes Gucci and Prada produced.

I was a devoted reader of Company from the age of 12 and still over every magazine I ever bought. I then transitioned into Elle which appears almost too regularly in my shopping trolley. I just loved the luxury of everything and knew I had a passion for it even if I didn't have the confidence to express it.

Now, I still don't own anything from Gucci or Prada. My most valuable item of clothing is a pair of pink Louboutins that I got in a charity shop for £12 (and got the heel stuck in the drain so are actually worth nothing). My style is still developing but I'm proud of it, I enjoy it. I want to share it here. I'm still trying to perfect charity shopping while working on a a career to be able to afford Prada even it's never been my style.

Real Techniques: expert face brush and buffing brush
Eco Tools: blusher, concealer and angled brushes
Body Shop: angled brush

Apply Benefit's Erase Paste under the foundation to cover dark circles and
blemishes. I find it's too heavy for on top of foundation. Any concealer brush will do
Apply foundation and blend in. I pump some on my hand first and then dot
on my face and then use the expert face brush to blend in.
I use 2 brushes to  use the Benefit Browzings Palette because I like
to separate the wax and the powder.

Use Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on any areas that need something extra.
I put some down my noses and between my eyebrows too.
Apply your face powder in you T-zone. I use Rimmel Stay Matte powder and put some under
my eyes too so that my concealer sets.
Dab your brush in your blusher, if your using Sleek like me, you only need a tiny bit
and then you can build it up. I put my blush on my cheekbones and up too my temples, when I'm not wearing bronzer as well.

This is the shade of coral I used, surprisingly, it's just called Coral.

Finally, the best bits, mascara and lips. I used the No 7 mascara first and
then went over it with the Maybelline wand.
And to finish it off, I used Maybelline Super Stay 24 Bold Matte
in Fire Coral and it's amazing.

I wore, Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation (My life saver), Rimmel Stay Matte Face Powder, The Body Shop Bronzer and Revlon Creme Blush in Charmed Enchantment. I used the Sleek OH SO SPECIAL pallet on my eyes and the Maybelline Rocket Volum' Mascara.

I set my concealer with the face powder under my eyes and on my chin.

I then lined the bronzer up against my cheekbones and up to my temples which makes my cheekbones more obvious.

I used a stippling brush for my blush because I think it packs the colour on my cheeks better. Finally, I blend it all together on my neck and cheeks with the same brush as I used for the face powder.

I've wanted the Jeffery Campbell Roscoe boots probably since I knew who Jeffery Campbell was. They were always just too pricey at £180 a pop. I was so happy when cut out boots were everywhere, I got a really crappy pair from New Look that I've worn once then I saw a girl on campus wearing these and I was so jealous because I thought they were real. I told her I loved then and she said they were £40 from River Island. I don't know why I didn't go home and buy them there and then because they are such good replicas. I got my particular pair in Cardiff a few weekends ago for £35, I think they are wearable with pretty much everything and I just love them so so much x

I've stopped shopping in Topshop as a general rule unless it's in the sale because I just got so fed up of buying something and it being half the price a month later. Topshop are so good at sales...
I bought this kimono in Topshop last week and it was completely made for me. My whole life is complete now I own this… The price was so much more that a bargain, with my student discount it was  . . . £22.50!!! And it is so so perfect, it's just hanging in my room so I can look at it all the time.

FROM £95.00!!

Kimono: Topshop £25
Jumpsuit: TK Maxx £16.99

Okay, so 2 days ago I bought this food supplement from Boots which aid weight loss. The decision wasn't taken lightly and I know I'm not overweight but I'm just not happy with the number I see on the scales and everytime I come home from UNI I put on a couple of pounds and I was just fed up with it. I first heard about raspberry ketones in heat magazine when Sam Faiers admitted to using them. I didn't immediately go and buy these pills, I did try the diet and exercise thing and I will stick to it this time but I feel like I just need an extra push. I think I'm also going I start writing down what I eat so I'm not just randomly picking at food especially when it's other people's in the flat at UNI! I was really careful in picking the supplement;
I looked at green bean coffee bean extract pills and I was going to go to Holland and Barrett for them but they contained silica which research told me to avoid. I really hope they work, my 11 stone 3 pound weight is getting boring now. I'll keep you posted... x

I bought the MAYBELLINE 'the rocket volum' express' mascara about 2 weeks ago for about £8 in Boots. I wasn't keen on it at first, it gave me really clumpy eyelashes and put too much product on lashes. It normally takes me some time to get used to a new mascara and when I used it this morning I was really impressed. I still had to use the No.7 wand to get rid of any excess product but there definitely wasn't as much as before and I think they came out really well.
